My Secret Pecan Cake Recipe

My husband and I have been married 39 years (is that a "lifetime" or "half a lifetime"?) -- at any rate, shortly after we married, his mother gave me her "famous" and family favorite Pecan Cake Recipe.  I've been baking this cake all these years, and of course it's one of our family favorites also; however I've NEVER seen another pecan cake like this at any office party, neighborhood party or any other Christmas party for all these years.  I've come to the conclusion that it must be a SECRET pecan cake recipe.

Today I'm gonna let the cat out of the bag and give YOU my secret pecan cake recipe.  There's still plenty of time to get the ingredients and make one or two yourself.  Here are a couple pictures (one of the cake in my Christmas plate, the other is a slice of the cake).

Pecan Cake
3 cups Bisquick
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1/2 stick margarine
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 quart of chopped pecans

Cream the sugar and margarine until combined and smooth.  Add eggs and mix thoroughly.  Add Bisquick, milk and vanilla and mix until smooth.  Add pecans last - mix together well and pour into a bundt pan that has been sprayed with Pam (or non stick spray).

Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

I like to make a powdered sugar glaze for the top but that is optional.
