Smocked Dress for Toddlers
About a month ago my daughter found some really pretty printed smocked fabric and decided to buy some. I willingly offered to make dresses for the little 3 1/2 year old girls (half of the set of quadruplets) -- set the fabric on my shelf and promptly forgot about it! A couple times one of the little girls would be in my sewing room and ask me specifically if I'd make her a dress from the fabric. I promised her I'd make her one.
Well, last week, I figured if I didn't get the dresses made soon, summer would be gone, and where would they be able to wear summer dresses with straps in the winter time?
Not only did I make the little dresses, I also made a little tutorial for our SewingBusiness blog. You can head on over to the blog to see the tutorial, but here is a picture of the fabric and the finished dresses modeled by the new owners, Sienna on the left and Sarah on the right. Their cousin Sarah Lynn in the middle is visiting us from Korea just in time to help show off the dresses.

The dresses weren't hard to make, but we had to figure out how to get straps to match, so head on over to SewingBusiness.com to see what we did.
