Favorite Pattern Making Classes
A few days ago I talked about the "customer favorites" of our sewing and craft patterns, and today I'd like to pass along the "customer favorites" of our pattern making classes at PatternsThatFitYou.com.
The Pattern Making For Children classes have long been favorites simply because whether the boys and girls are plus size / overweight or smaller, skinny and petite, the regular store bought patterns just don't fit right, therefore the mothers and grandmothers have elected to make their own patterns using the childs specific measurements in order to get the perfect fit.
The trend that we have seen in the past is that people wanting to "try their hand" at pattern making always head to our FREE skirt pattern making class, and when they find out how easy it is to make that pattern, AND it fits perfectly, they then feel comfortable in buying the full blown skirt pattern making class.
Now they're seeing how easy it is to make all those fantastic skirts and want to "gingerly" move on to making their own slacks and shorts, so head back to to the FREE shorts pattern making class. Once again, they're trying something new - shorts. After completing the pattern making process and making the shorts, they are then in the mood to make a variety of slacks and shorts styles so head on over to the full blown shorts/slacks pattern making class, which we offer in regular sizing and plus sized patterns.
Because of offering the mini, FREE skirt and shorts classes, it turns out that the regular and plus size skirt pattern making class and shorts/slacks pattern making classes are by far the biggest customer favorites.
The past several months we've seen a big upswing in the Pattern Making For Men classes (regular and big/tall/husky). I'm not sure if it's just because it's our newest class, or if it's because there are also major issues with commercial patterns fitting those big, tall and husky (or overweight) men. This class is fast becoming one of the customer favorites also.
Anyway you look at it, we're hearing back from customers who say it it much easier to start from scratch to make a pattern for themselves, their children and now their men than to try to alter store bought patterns. Why don't you try your hand at some of the patterns from our pattern making site -- you may never go back to commercial patterns again!
