How To Make Leather Headbands

One of my 3 1/2 year old quadruplet grandbabies, Sienna, has taken a liking to wearing headbands.  I think her other "Nana" bought her a pretty shiney blue headband, and now she'll only take it off for naps and bedtime --- and wants us to put it "way up high" so nobody else can get it!

Well, Sienna, I've found a terrific leather headband tutorial - and now I'm going to make a few JUST FOR YOU!!!

Cal Patch at CraftStylish has this very cute tutorial that I'm going to be using, and also want to pass it along for others.

This pretty hairband is a quick and easy project.

Check out the full tutorial to see just how easy they are to make.  Actually another son and daughter in law that live / work in Korea will be here on Saturday for a couple of weeks, so I'm also planning on making a couple for their little 7 year old daughter.

While you're working with leather, you might want to check out the Sewing With Leather book and website - there are a lot of other cool ideas there too that you can make.  In addition, she has information on where you can get free leather pieces - can't beat a deal like that!!!

Once you have made a few things with leather and suede, I think you'll get hooked on it!!!
