Tropicooler Fabric Claimed by Granddaughter

I've been doing a little sewing for the quads lately, and just made some bandana print blouses for the little girls.

Of course these little 3 year olds are so tiny and petite the "blouses" turned into dresses for them.  Little Sarah, in the orange, hasn't worn any other clothing item except her new "dress" for 3 days.   Now how about that for a compliment for Mamaw!!!

We, my daughter and I, have annual tables at festivals and craft fairs for their honey -- in which we sell their honey products (honey, of course, beeswax soap and candles, honey sticks for the children, tropicoolers, polymer nail art packages, and other craft items.  Well, a few days ago my daughter brought me some "strawberry" fabric to make into tropicoolers to sell at the Strawberry Festival coming up in one of the towns in our area.

Little Sarah saw the fabric, grabbed it and held it close to her and said "my dress".  I told her I would get some more of the material and make her a dress, and she was so very pleased.

Just look at all those lovely red strawberries (which are among her favorite things to eat!) on the nice pink / white background.  What more could a little 3 year old want?   Well, Sienna of course was VERY jealous!!  SHE wanted her own new dress - so I told her she could come look at my fabric stash and pick something for her new dress.  Unfortunately Sarah tagged along, so now the "new dress" fabric pieces look like this:

There would have been more, but I told them that they could only pick TWO pieces because I also have to make something for their brothers.

Two days later when they came to our house again, the very first thing out of Sarah's mouth was "where's my strawberries dress?"  Try to explain to a child that you're trying to do a weeks' worth of work in the two days that they're not here --- they just don't understand, so my  NEXT project will be little girls' dresses!
