I'm hoping I'm not the only one who never can get sizes right when it comes to buying shoes for the grandchildren!  I'm never sure what the size range is for the little ones (the 3 year old quads) or what should I look for when buying for a 6 year old.

Well, I think I just got lucky, and want to pass this great information along.  I found a chart of sizing for shoes from babies to adults, and here it is!!

Infants and toddlers sizes range from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, including half sizes and 8.

Children's sizes range from 8 1/2, 9, 10, 11, including half sizes and 12.

Big boys or girls sizes range from 12 1/2, 13, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, including half sizes (some manufacturers do not go all the way to 7).

Adult ladies usually start around a 5 and may go to 12 or 13.

Men's sizes usually start at 6, 7, or 8 depending on the manufacturer and go to 13, 14 or higher.

There is usually a 2 size difference between big girls or boys or mens and ladies -- a child's 4 is close to the same as a ladies 6, and a men's 8 is a ladies size 10.

I'm going to keep a copy of the chart in my purse, so I'll know what I'm doing the next time I'm in a shoe store, and I hope this helps somebody else!!
