Honey Bee Festival

A couple weekends ago I attended a Honey Bee Festival nearby, and I was amazed at the number of craft booths there as well as those with honey.  It was a well attended festival as I saw a constant stream of people coming in, and I realized that those people could be buying MY stuff!!  YIKES! Where has my brain been??

I don't have any honey, but I'm here to tell you that the creamed honey that one booth had was the best stuff I've ever tasted.  I got one of their brochures, so I could pass along their website where you can get some of the creamed honey -- The Bee Ranch has regular honey as well as a variety of creamed honey flavors.  The creamed honey is simply regular raw honey that has been whipped and a flavoring added (the "original" is just regular honey with no flavoring), and it spreads on biscuits, pancakes, bread just like soft margarine spreads.  My very favorite is lemon (I love lemon and honey mixed when I have a sore throat), and my husband's favorite is the cinnamon.  (Hint:  honey makes great gifts, and you can't go wrong with the creamed honey!!)

Speaking of honey, now I have to tell you what honey did for me.  Quite a few years ago I had all four wisdom teeth pulled at the same time (I told the dentist that he HAD to do them all, because if it hurt and only 2 were done, I wouldn't be back to get the others pulled).  Well, I'd read what a great "healer" honey is, so after the first couple of days I started coating each one with honey several times a day.   When I went back to the dentist to get them checked, he was very surprised and said they had healed faster than if I had been a teenager.  Needless to say, I have been a honey fan ever since!!

Now, back to the craft booths.  I did a little checking online and found a great book that gives all the ins and outs of craft fair selling, as well as giving tons of information on many ways to sell the crafts that you make.  Cash From Your Crafts is exactly what I needed!  I figured that given the number of festivals that take place around my area, I could make a tidy sum of extra cash (and the same goes for you in whatever area of the country you may live in).  And in this economy, who couldn't use some extra cash?????  WOW!  Every once in awhile my brain starts to work, and now that I've downloaded the How To Make Cash From Your Crafts book, I've made up my mind that I WILL get some of my sewing and craft items made and set up at some of the spring festivals!

Check out the honey on Bee Ranch.com, then head on over to the Cash From Your Crafts website and download your copy today, and perhaps I'll meet you at one of the spring festivals!
