How To Work With 5 Children In The House
I've talked in the past about our 2 1/2 year old quadruplet grandbabies and their big brother Jacob, who just turned 4 the end of July. I'm constantly amazed at how much work my daughter gets done with all five "babies" in the house! The quads are at the age where they're pulling clothes out of dresser drawers, getting into closets and ransacking everything in there, etc. which only adds more to the daily frustration of trying to get something - anything done. Closets now have screen door locks on them and dressers have to be strapped so they can't get "too many things out" --- but if somebody forgets to lock the closet door or re-strap the dresser - it's ransacking time again!
I do some writing at Squidoo.com -- and one day when we'd kept the babies part of a day, then overnight, then until after naptime the next day, I decided to try an experiment ---- see how much writing (working) I could actually get done with all the "babies" here. My topic for Squidoo was "Making a lens (page) with 5 children in the house" and I am here to tell you it was more than difficult!
Here's the link (and the link above) to let you read about the entire day. Check it out - get a laugh at least, but you might want to give me a 5 star rating at the top of the page just for "E for effort". By the way, I'm not real sure I'll be trying it again -- VERY hard to concentrate on what you're doing!
Once again, I'll say "Denise, you are a superwoman! I am constantly amazed at what you get accomplished with all the little ones around!!!"
