Parents of Multiples
Our daughter who has the 2 year old quadruplets and an older 3 year old son belongs to a local "Parents of Multiples" organization. The organization has an online newsletter, and recently asked members to talk about the "best thing about having twins or more". I just loved my daughter's input to the question, and I'm going to quote it here. PS You'll learn a lot about our "fab five" grandbabies.
Hello all! I'm Denise Hoyle and I have a three year old son and two year
old quadruplets - identical boys and fraternal girls. The best thing about
having quads is watching them all develop into their own individual
personalities at the same time. Sarah, the oldest but smallest is a
daredevil who runs headfirst into any activity, Sienna is my little drama
queen who loves pink and all things 'girly', Zachary is a joker who is
always smiling and Brandon is the calm laid back one. Jacob, my oldest,
thinks he's in charge of everyone and likes to tell them what they should be
doing and when they should be getting timeouts. You didn't ask, but the
worst thing about them all being so close in age is trying to potty train
all five at once. Of course Jacob is completely trained now, but it feels
like party time not potty time when they all decide to go the bathroom at
once. We've got four potty chairs lined up against the wall and you
wouldn't believe how they all fight over the one sink at the same time :o)
They are the best thing ever and as crazy as life can get around here at
times, I can't imagine life without them!
And my husband and I couldn't even imagine our life without all the little ones! They keep us on our toes and keep us smiling at all the things they're doing!
